Three winners of D+D REAL tournaments
The tournament has a convenient term within the European Tour schedule, because the same term is the Irish Open played by players from overseas. Several Tour players will arrive to the Czech Republic to play this Challenge Tour because of the limited number of players playing the Irish Open.
“On our starting list also includes the winners of previous D + D REAL tournaments. Linard Thomas and Andreas Harto won at Kuneticka Hora and winner of D + D REAL Slovakia Challenge Andrew McArthur. And these three players have been placed in the same flight for the first two rounds” said David Trunda, Relmost CEO.
French player Calmels, winner of the D + D Real Czech Challenge in 2013, canceled his start due to an injury.
The biggest star of the tournament will be according to his position in the ranking, the Thai player Prom Meesawat. He is currently126th in the world. (Tiger Woods is behind him – holding 156th position!) Meesawat had a successful week at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. He finished 35th. His best result of his life was a month ago in the Volvo China Open, where he finished 3rd. In the overall rankings for The Race to Dubai he is at 53rd place. At the moment he has already secured the European Tour card for next year.
For a third title of the season, Spanish player Nacho Elvira, will fight for his spot. Within a month, he won two tournaments, and if wins in the Czech Republic, he will secure his European Tour card for next season. First he triumphed at home in Spain and on Sunday he won the trophy in Austria. This season his balance is three starts in the Challenge Tour, two victories and overall earnings of 54,400 Euros. Last year, French player Hebert reached out to grab three titles, but the record of fastest trophy winnings is still held by Swedish player Kristoffer Broberg, who triumphed three times in one month in 2012.
Among the players holding European Tour titles are Swedish player Fredrik Andersson Hed, winner of the Italian Open in 2010; the Argentinean player Estanislao Goya, who won the Madeira Islands Open in 2009; and in the same year, triumphed at the Wales Open the Danish player Huldahl. South African player Bremner is returning to the Czech Republic. His previous experience was in August of last year fighting for the title of D+D Real Czech Masters at the Albatross Golf Course where he finished third.
